WHY I WROTE THIS BOOK
I wrote this book to shine a light on the heroes who surround us every day. In a world that often expects heroes to soar through the sky in capes, I believe the true heroes are much closer — they wear blue jeans, shorts, T-shirts, dresses, and suits. They live next door, work alongside us, shop in the same stores, drive the same roads, and teach or learn in our schools. These everyday heroes don’t seek recognition or wear costumes, yet their courage and kindness quietly shape our lives.
We only notice the heroes around us if we know where to look — and, most importantly, if we are truly looking. It is my hope that this book, and the series it begins, will inspire readers to open their eyes and hearts to the heroes in their midst.
As I wrote this story about these remarkable people, I realized there are countless more stories that deserve to be told. In the Midst of Heroes is just the beginning , the first in a series dedicated to celebrating the unsung heroes among us.
This book is a tribute to those ordinary people whose simple, powerful acts remind us that heroism isn’t about grand gestures but the everyday moments that make our lives richer and better.
